After graduating from the University New Mexico in 1979 with a degree in Political Science, Mr. Davis entered the California Western School of Law in San Diego where he completed his first year in the top fifteen percent (15%) of his class.
He then transferred to the University of New Mexico where he completed his last two (2) years before obtaining his Juris Doctorate in May 1982. It is noteworthy that in each of his three (3) years of law school, Mr. Davis was awarded an American Jurisprudence (“AmJur”) Award for obtaining the highest grade in a particular class.
For the last thirty-nine (39) years, Mr. Davis has represented thousands of New Mexico citizens charged with offenses ranging from First Degree Murder to Driving While Intoxicated (“DWI”). Although he practices throughout the state, Mr. Davis specializes in cases in Sandoval County where, for the last twenty (20) years, he has concentrated his practice.
Known for his aggressive defense, Mr. Davis has applied his vast experience to developing a cadre of allies in the criminal justice system in Sandoval County including probation officers, jailors, law enforcement, and the Courts.
